Remember when we sold off all of our GoPro Hero4, plus accessories, plus the DJi OSMO?!?!

...& you probably sat there thinking to yourself "what fresh hell is this?!"

Well, we knew that the Hero6 was due for release & we decided to sit & wait patiently until it was no longer a rumour.

Now you might be asking, what exactly would make all of this worth it? I mean, by no means are we tech junkies that have to have the latest & greatest of everything. Usually we manage to sit on things for a number of years before we replace them...

We had our reasons though. Firstly, the 5&6 are waterproof on their own. Why does this matter? Well, personally I hated putting the 4 into its little water proof case for the simple reason that the colours recorded were slightly muddied. I mean, it makes sense. You're adding a piece of plastic in front of the lens & that will naturally distort things however so slightly. But of course, if it started to rain there was no longer an option, it HAD to go into the case.

Also, whilst it is still just software, the Hero6 offers vibration reduction. Now I don't know about you, but having to buy a gimbal for each bike was just out of the question. Too pricey for one, & secondly, they still need remotes & batteries & more attention to operate. So ultimately it just made for too many distractions.

& thirdly, the Hero6 offers superior colours in recording quality. You know, more details in the shadows & highlights without blowing out your image too much.

Ultimately, we could have stuck with the Hero4 & still brought you fun filled videos, but we held on to them for a good long while & it was time for a change.

If you're wondering about all the gadgets & gear that we lug about with us on every trip, have a gander at the following list. We are Amazon Associates so if you do decide to purchase any of this stuff, you'll be helping us out, but the main reason for posting is so that you get an idea what goes into making each & every video.
